NAY I say! Apple devotees will strongly resist giving up Steve Jobs (and his apparently neverending stream of fabulous new gadgets) just to bail out GM, particularly since almost none of us drive (or desire to) ANY vehicle they've produced in the last several decades!

If Steve Jobs ran GM, GM car prices would at least double. The R&D money would go into design and appearance, not quality, performance, or safety. All cars would be silver or white. Mileage (MPG) would get much worse (see the Greenpeace reports about Apple).

Batteries would not be user-replaceable. Some would pose a fire hazard.

All cars would have built-in iPhones and Webcams, whether buyers wanted them or not.

Reliability would be horrendous, but GM owners would be oblivious to all the problems and still love their cars. The limited warranty would only be a year. If you have a question about your car, you can get it answered for free within 90 days of purchase.

Car prices would be fixed. Buyers could not haggle with dealer.

Some replacement parts that are interchangeable with other brands would be proprietary with GM. Perhaps you could only use GM tires.
