Live From Las Vegas...

March 3, 2009 .....The Awards Of PMA:

PMA and its affiliates bestowed their annual awards at its tradeshow this week.

The envelope please ….

Shigetaka Komori, president and CEO, Fujifilm, won the Photoimaging Manufacturers and Distributors Association’s (PMDA) Person of the Year award.

The Digital Imaging Manufacturers Association announced the winners of its Innovative awards and printer shoot-out. Among the Innovation winners were:

  • Fujifilm for the F200EXR
  • HP’s iPrint Photo and Photo Center 4.0
  • Pandigital PhotoLink Scanner
  • Samsung’s HMX-H106 camcorder

Among the shoot-out highlights:

HP Photosmart ML1000 minilab took the top spot in the Dry Production Printers category.

The Epson Stylus Pro 7900 won in the 18- to 35-inch-wide inkjet category.

The Epson Stylus Pro 4880 won in the 9 to 17-inches-wide category.

The HP Photosmart C8180 all-in-one took the honors in the 8.5-inches-wide or less ($200-plus) category.
