International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA) judges evaluated the results on sound quality, installation quality and other factors at a recent Pioneer dealer meeting.
The Specialist received a $10,000 prize for its 2007 Honda Civic, while Memphis-based Sound Waves came in second place, and Car Tunes, Allen Park, Mich., and Paradyme, Sacramento, Calif., tied for third place. Each installed a Pioneer DEH-P710BT CD player plus an HD Radio tuner, four PRS-D2200T amplifiers, speakers and two shallow-mount subwoofers.
